Administered by the Loveland Housing Authority. Low to no interest rate loans with flexible terms to meet a home owner’s budget to repair or improve their home including accessibility modifications. Must live in Larimer County, be low to moderate income (call for income restrictions). Program includes mobile/manufactured home repairs (this is a limited program). Larimer Home Improvement Program (LHIP) is focused on helping with maintenance, health & safety, handicap accessibility and energy efficiency related issues (HousingQuality Standard (HQS) failures). Maximum loan amounts are $24,999 for single-family homes and $12,000 for mobile/manufactured homes. This funding is available to residents of the cities of Larimer County who qualify under the Housing and Urban Development (HUD) guidelines and whose household income does not exceed 80% of the area median income. Owners who receive assistance are offered a loan with an interest rate between 0% to 2%, based upon household income. Bad credit is okay as the loan is based on debt-to-income ratio.
