Larimer County Human Services offers a variety of benefits for families, including Grandparents (or other relatives) raising children. Benefits include Relative Caregiver TANF (cash assistance for children that does not count Grandparents’ income); Food Assistance; Medicaid; Medicare Savings Program; Old Age Pension (cash grant to help supplement Social Security Income) and Low Income Energy Assistance Program (November 1st through April 30th each year. Helps with heating/cooling bills. Can also help weatherize home, repair furnace, etc.)
